Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Engineer with strong expertise in Python and Playwright for end-to-end automation testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building robust, scalable test automation frameworks and leading QA teams through agile delivery cycles Roles and Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automation test frameworks using Python and Playwright. Mentor and guide a team of QA engineers to deliver high-quality automated test coverage across web applications. Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to define test strategies, scope, and acceptance criteria. Implement CI/CD pipelines and integrate automation suites with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Own and improve test coverage, stability, and speed of execution across releases. Review test cases, perform code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices. Analyse test failures, debug issues, and report findings with actionable insights. Prepare detailed documentation, status reports, and QA metrics for leadership and stakeholders. Technical Skills: Strong programming skills in Python. Hands-on experience with Playwright (preferably Python bindings) for UI automation. Solid understanding of test automation principles, frameworks, and patterns (e.g., Page Object Model). Experience with API testing using tools like Postman, REST-assured, or Python requests. Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps) and source control systems (Git). Knowledge of containerization and test execution in Docker/Kubernetes environments is a plus. Required Skilled and Qualifications: Experience leading QA or test automation teams in Agile/Scrum environments. Familiarity with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr). Experience with performance or load testing tools is a bonus. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Preferred Skills: Strong leadership and team mentoring abilities. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Effective communication and stakeholder management. Organized, proactive, and results oriented.
