Congratulations,

A sneak peek into the role:

At Seclore, we're embarking on a pivotal initiative to enhance our globally used enterprise data security product, a critical product vertical that will define the future of data protection and complement existing product verticals Data Asset Classification (DAC) and Enterprise Digitial Rights Management (EDRM). As a Lead Product Engineer, you will be a core part of this new venture, leading a team/squad to design and build our next-generation, cloud-native product vertical, Data Discovery. You will research and implement modern solutions, manage priorities, and drive high-quality deliveries. This role offers the unique opportunity to innovate, experiment, and solve complex, never-before-attempted problems, while also mentoring and growing a high-performing engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product & Technical Leadership: Lead the design and development of major components and features for our new product initiative. Research, evaluate, and decide on the best and most practical solutions for complex technical problems, ensuring scalability and robustness. Collaborate actively with software architects, development, and product management teams for a cohesive approach and maximum coverage.
  • Software Development: Drive hands-on development using Java, Spring Boot, and related web technologies. Design, develop, test, maintain, and enhance the product.
  • Architecture & Design: Apply experience in Microservices and Cloud-native architectures to build a resilient and high-performing system. Lead discussions and decisions on system design for major product components.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Build, mentor, and inspire a small team of engineers. Provide expert technical guidance on design techniques and technologies, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Quality & DevOps Integration: Ensure seamless integration of developed features into CI/CD pipelines. Drive best practices for testability, quality gates, and automated testing (unit, integration, E2E).
  • Problem Solving & Innovation: Analyze issues reported by customers and proactively identify areas for innovation and improvement within the product.
  • Delivery & Communication: Manage priorities, deadlines, and deliverables effectively. Communicate technical progress and challenges to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 6 to 10 years in Java/J2EE development, with at least 3 years in a technical lead role.
  • Education: BE / B. Tech / MCA / PGDST or equivalent degree from a reputed institute.
  • Core Java: Deep hands-on experience with Java development and Spring Boot.
  • Architecture & APIs: Strong experience in Microservice development and designing complex enterprise applications, with proficiency in RESTful and gRPC web services.
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Docker and a high-level understanding of Kubernetes (deployments, rolling updates, service exposure).
  • Databases: Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
  • Version Control: Hands-on experience with Git and Git workflows (feature branching, PRs, rebasing, tagging, conflict resolution).
  • Testing: Proficiency in JUnit and writing testable code, with exposure to E2E frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).
  • CI/CD: Strong understanding and practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions), including integrating automated tests and enforcing quality gates.
  • Soft Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate technical teams. Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
