As a Lead UX Designer at Aubergine, you will play a pivotal role in leading multiple digital product design projects. This position requires a blend of hands-on design expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, UI Designers, and Business Analysts to create intuitive, user-focused solutions that align with business objectives. Your responsibilities will include driving Design Operations initiatives to optimize the execution and management of design projects, mentoring and leading a competitive team capable of delivering quality work, gathering product requirements, estimating project timelines, managing execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting client workshops, defining information architecture, user journeys, personas, and workflow diagrams, performing user research and usability testing, creating wireframes and prototypes, and guiding the team through project execution. To excel in this role, you should possess at least 8+ years of experience in UX, with a minimum of 3+ years leading design projects and teams. Strong communication skills in English, a robust UX portfolio demonstrating hands-on design expertise, experience in designing for enterprise and consumer applications, and the ability to improve user workflows, interactions, and overall experience are essential. Additionally, you should be adept at working cross-functionally, have a global mindset, and be comfortable collaborating with remote teams across multiple time zones. Key skills required for this role include a deep understanding of interaction design, usability principles, and UX best practices, expertise in wireframing, prototyping, and mockups using tools like Figma, hands-on experience with user research and data-driven design decisions, ability to create user personas and documentation to guide design strategies, strong strategic research skills, and the ability to multitask and manage multiple products with a structured approach. Bonus skills that would be advantageous include experience in mentoring junior designers, understanding design systems and scalable UX frameworks, and previous work in SaaS or enterprise product design.
