Lead Piping Engineer

As a Lead Piping Engineer at our company based in Mumbai, you will be leading the Piping & Layout team on various Engineering activities. Your responsibilities will include: - Acting as a single point of contact for all Piping and Layout Engineering matters throughout the project phases. - Ensuring cost-effective Piping and Layout solutions in compliance with client requirements. - Maintaining technical integrity for compliance with project HSE requirements. - Preparing and approving piping engineering philosophies and specifications. - Managing technical interfaces with equipment and package suppliers to ensure compliance. - Providing technical support to obtain necessary approvals from verification bodies. - Representing the Piping Discipline in various meetings, discussions, and technical reviews. - Identifying and managing resource requirements and supervising task distribution. - Leading, guiding, and mentoring the team by providing technical solutions. - Managing the progress of Piping Engineering scope and deliverables as per project schedules. - Handling Management of change within the scope of work for the Piping Discipline. Requirements: - Minimum of 12 years of experience in engineering organizations for upstream oil & gas projects. - Prior work experience with medium/large-sized brownfield and greenfield projects in the Oil and Gas sector. - In-depth knowledge in Piping and layout engineering, procurement, and cost-effectiveness. - Demonstrable design experience related to Piping Engineering deliverables. - Proficiency in commonly used business software applications and specific engineering software. - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering specialization. - Excellent technical communication skills with the ability to present technical issues effectively. - Ability to work with minimal supervision, make sound decisions, and provide focused solutions. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with all levels in the organization.
