Piping Designer

You will be responsible for preparing piping layouts and conceptual design problems in 2D and 3D CAD software. This includes reviewing drawings and vendor equipment documentation for compliance with project requirements and seeking resolution. You will interface with other design disciplines and work independently on an Area along with 4-5 designers/engineers. Additionally, you will check moderately complex piping design drawings and create 3D models of complex plants using 3D Review platform. To qualify for this role, you must have a Diploma in mechanical engineering/ ITI with 5-10 years of experience in 3D software like SP3D. You should be capable of 3D modelling and 3D drawing extraction development for piping detail drawings in facility projects. Having a thorough understanding of interdisciplinary interfaces and experience in Petroleum Oil and Gas Power Manufacturing Industrial settings is essential. Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD, Microstation, SP3D, and Smart plant review capabilities is required. Communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for this position. You should possess exceptional organizational and time-management skills, a strong regard for product quality and safety standards, as well as sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities. Being meticulous, diligent, and skilled in using SP3D for equipment and piping modelling are key attributes. In this role, you will be expected to adhere to project drawing standards, provide guidance and mentorship to lower classification piping designers, complete pipe component and run detailed drawings, and develop preliminary Bills of Materials related to piping design.
