Job Description

As a Lead People Solutions and Advice Infrastructure at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and streamlining policies and procedures to ensure alignment with local employment legislative provisions and the HSBC Group framework. Your strategic advice on People Solutions and Advice aspects will be instrumental in addressing a wide variety of employment matters and identifying associated risks with actions and decisions. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of labor laws and Group Policies to provide strategic inputs and resolutions for complex Employee Relations (ER) issues, ensuring compliance with regulations and Group standards. Understanding business requirements and policies, you will provide strategic inputs aligned with local employment legislative provisions and the HSBC Group framework. Building and managing relationships with legal counsels, you will work on litigation strategy regarding employment disputes, oversee PS&A service delivery metrics, and provide insights to various governance forums. Anticipating critical ER situations, you will advise HR and Business on implications and define mitigation mechanisms and plans proactively. Your role also involves mentoring team members for professional service delivery, skill development, and workload balance. Staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in employment laws, you will ensure compliance and competitive employee relations strategy within the organization. Acting as a point of escalation, you will coach HR colleagues and business stakeholders on complex concerns and whistleblowing investigations. Aligning with legal entity regulations and local matters, you will build strong relationships with internal stakeholders for seamless PS&A objectives delivery. Your qualifications include a Post Graduation in Human Resources or equivalent with over 15 years of experience in Human Resource function and at least 10 years in Employee Relations. Your demonstrated experience in strategy development, ER policy management, and global matrixed environments will be essential for success in this role. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with high business acumen, will enable you to consult and influence stakeholders at all levels effectively. Your analytical and critical-thinking abilities will support objective situation assessments and effective solution provision.
