Job Description

TechnoMile is looking for a Java Microservices Lead. You will be responsible for the end-to- end architecture, development, and deployment of enterprise Java microservices-based applications. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, AWS API Gateway, and microservices design, along with strong leadership abilities and a passion for delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions.

The day-to-day:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, design, and develop microservices-based solutions using core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and AWS API Gateway.
Lead and mentor a team of backend and full-stack developers, ensuring delivery of high-quality code following best practices and coding standards.
Participate in the entire software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
Own and drive adoption of microservices patterns, RESTful API design, and integration with frontend applications and third-party systems.
Perform thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and secure code in line with architectural guidelines.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across distributed systems, ensuring reliability and scalability.
Optimize application performance and scalability using proven techniques and cloud-native tools.
Work closely with DevOps to establish CI/CD pipelines and implement containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP), and introduce innovative solutions to improve application development.
Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence within the team.

Who you are:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in backend development, with at least 2 years as a technical lead or architect.
Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, AWS API Gateway, and microservices architecture.
Solid understanding of cloud-native application patterns and distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker), orchestration platforms (Kubernetes), and deployment on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Good understanding of both relational (Postgres, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including code documentation, unit testing, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing tools (e.g., ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
Exposure to frontend frameworks (React or Angular) is a plus
