Lead - IT System Administrator

Position : Lead - IT System Administrator Qualification: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Proven experience (minimum 8 years) as an IT System Administrator or similar role. Job Location: Banashankari III Stage, Bengaluru Job Type: Full Time Work Type: Work from Office only. Workdays: Monday to Friday (First and Last Saturdays as working) Benefits: Statutory benefits, Medical Insurance, Paid leaves etc. Salary: 8-10Lpa CTC per annum including (PF, ESI, other statutory benefits) Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled IT System Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations across servers, desktops, laptops, and handheld devices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for network security, firewalls, Microsoft 365 administration, email security, software license renewals, hardware maintenance contracts (AMCs), data backup and restoration on cloud, and storage capacity management. Additionally, the role involves IT budget planning and tracking to optimize resources effectively. The performance indicators for the role include IT infrastructure performance and reliability, adherence to security and regulatory compliance requirements, adherence to service level agreements, budget compliance and contributions to improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: System & Device Management: Maintain and troubleshoot servers, desktops, laptops, handheld devices and virtualization environments in private and public cloud. Perform system health monitoring and patch management. Maintain accurate system documentation and change records. Network & Security: Oversee network infrastructure, firewalls, and security protocols to ensure data protection. Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings within Microsoft 365. Email & Security: Ensure smooth email operations, implement security measures, and prevent phishing or spam attacks. Software & Hardware Maintenance: Handle software license renewals and manage AMCs for hardware. Data Backup & Recovery: Implement and monitor data backup strategies using cloud backup and storage solutions like iDrive , ensuring quick recovery when needed. Storage Management: Track and optimize data storage capacity to prevent system overloads. IT Budget Planning: Develop and monitor IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation. Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support to employees, resolving IT-related issues efficiently. Automate repetitive tasks. Security: Ensure system compliance with internal policies and industry best practices. Implement controls to ensure appropriate security performance, scalability and monitoring guidelines. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong knowledge of Windows servers, networking, and firewall configurations . Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and email security protocols. Familiarity with software licensing, AMCs, and IT budgeting . Expertise in data backup, recovery solutions (iDrive), and storage management . Knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMware, patching, monitoring and system hardening practices. Knowledge of ITIL/ ISO 20000 and ISO 27001 Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Comfortable working in a ticket-based, collaborative environment and ensuring SLA adherence. Strong communication, both written and oral, skills to collaborate with teams and vendors.
