About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-level Splunk solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of Splunk architecture, hands-on Cribl experience, and a proven track record of managing and executing large-scale Splunk SaaS migrations. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end Splunk initiatives, ensuring scalable, efficient, and cost-effective solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive success. In this role, you will: Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applications Participate in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure Evaluate internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals Review and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future Design, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with the team and third party vendors Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices Make decisions in technical designs, implementation plans and identify project risks and resource requirements Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success Recommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve results Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals Interact with customer and vendor Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience in design, development, and implementation of Splunk architecture and solutions for large scale on-prem/SAAS environments Proven expertise in leading large-scale Splunk SaaS migrations. Proficiency with Cribl Stream, Cribl Edge, or equivalent data pipeline tools. Ability to configure and manage Cribl for advanced data transformation, filtering, enrichment, and routing. Develop complex dashboards, reports, and alerts tailored to business and operational needs. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud environments. 3+ years of strong automation experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.) for automation and API integration. Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking concepts. Worked on a large Splunk infrastructure, including clustered environments, multi-site deployments, and cloud/SAAS deployment. Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Certifications in Splunk, Cribl, or cloud technologies (AWS, Azure). Job Expectations: Serve as the technical lead for large-scale Splunk SaaS migrations, overseeing planning, execution, and post-migration optimization. Develop complex dashboards, reports, and alerts tailored to business and operational needs. Develop migration strategies, including data ingestion, configuration, and app compatibility assessments. Design data pipelines to optimize Splunk ingestion, reduce licensing costs, and improve system performance. Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in ingestion, indexing, and search processes.
