Job Description

Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with 6+ years ofhands-on experience building scalable, performant backend systems. You willplay a key role in architecting and developing backend services using Java,frameworks like Spring or Micronaut, and integrating with event-driven systemsusing Kafka. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, writesclean, testable code, and has a passion for delivering high-quality backendsolutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services using Java(8+) and Spring Boot or Micronaut.Develop and expose RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints for frontend andexternal integrations.Work with Kafka or similar messaging platforms to implement event-drivenarchitectures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translatethem into technical solutions.Contribute to architectural decisions, technical documentation, and systemdesign.Ensure high test coverage and participate in peer code reviews.Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI/CD.Monitor and troubleshoot production issues and improve system observability.

Required Skills & Experience

6+ years of backend development experience with Java.Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and/or Micronaut frameworks.Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.Proficiency with Kafka or other message brokers for event-driven systems.Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL,MongoDB).Familiarity with CI/CD tooling, especially GitLab, Jenkins, or similar.Good understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, andbest practices.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
