Role OverView -

We are looking for a strategic and experienced Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) with 5+ years of experience in high-growth startups. In this role, you will partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive key people strategies, foster engagement, manage performance, and enhance the overall employee experience across all employment types

What Does The Team Do -

The People Team at Lokal App plays a critical role in building a performance-driven, inclusive, and engaging culture. We manage the full employee lifecycleonboarding, development, performance, compliance, engagement, and offboardingensuring alignment with our business goals and values.

What You'II Do -

Onboarding & Integration
  • Own and drive the end-to-end onboarding process for all employee typesFTEs, interns, contractors, freelancers, and conversion cases
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to design tailored onboarding plans that ensure role clarity, early productivity, and cultural immersion
  • Identify and implement process improvements to make onboarding more scalable and impactful
Employee Engagement & Culture
  • Design and execute proactive strategies to boost employee engagement, motivation, and retention
  • Champion a culture of continuous feedback, recognition, and growth across teams
  • Conduct regular pulse surveys and partner with leadership to act on insights meaningfully
  • Launch innovative engagement programs that go beyond the usual playbook
Performance Management & Development
  • Lead the entire performance cyclegoal setting, mid-year/annual reviews, 360 feedback, and PIPs
  • Drive intern conversions, probation reviews, and performance coaching conversations
  • Partner with managers to strengthen team development and accountability frameworks

Compensation & Benefits

  • Manage ESOP administration, bonuses, and final settlements with precision and discretion
  • Evaluate and improve benefit offerings to align with employee needs and market trends
  • Drive data-backed conversations around total rewards strategy
HR Analytics & Reporting
  • Use HR data to generate insights on attrition, retention, engagement, and productivity
  • Present actionable dashboards and workforce forecasts to leadership
  • Think beyond reportingspot patterns, raise red flags, and suggest strategic solutions
Compliance & Policy Governance
  • Oversee critical compliance areas including POSH, BGVs, ISMS, and internal HR policies
  • Ensure timely documentation, training, and process adherence across all levels
  • Take ownership of audits and risk mitigation from an HR standpoint
Employer Branding & EVP
  • Lead initiatives to promote Lokal App's Employer Value Proposition (EVP) both internally and externally and Collaborate with marketing on social media presence, employee stories, and campaign ideation
Initiative & Ownership
  • Think like an ownerspot gaps before others do and create solutions without waiting for instructions
  • Bring creativity, intelligence, and proactive problem-solving to everything you do
  • Be the go-to person who challenges the status quo and brings fresh energy to HR

Requirements

What We Expect

  • 5+ years of HR experience in startups or fast-paced environments
  • Strong background in performance management, engagement, and compensation
  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Hands-on experience with HR tools, data analytics, and compliance management
  • Ability to work across diverse employment types and align HR with business needs
