Lead Finance Controller

You will be responsible for managing accounting and financial systems, including accounting software such as Tally and SAP. This will involve maintaining accounting ledgers, running periodic audits, and developing internal processes for managing vendor invoices and employee out-of-pocket expenses. You will work closely with business units to identify excess spending and potential optimizations, as well as coordinate with founders to manage firmwide budgeting. In terms of financial reporting, you will be tasked with building management information systems (MIS) for internal reporting, including expense distribution, revenues, and profit and loss (P&L) statements. You will also be responsible for creating a central repository of invoices, filings, and other financial documents. Your role will also encompass managing regulatory and statutory compliance, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to respective authorities. Additionally, you will need to understand the company's business models to devise tax-optimal structures and ensure compliance with timely tax filings, including Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS). Collaboration with the tech team will be crucial as you help them understand the requirements of a business financial controller and assist in developing innovative solutions for client businesses. You will also work with the tech team to automate audits and reconciliation of nodal accounts used to deliver services to clients. The ideal candidate for this role would have a background as a Chartered Accountant (CA) and possess a deep understanding of taxation and auditing for handling innovative business models. Experience in vendor management, financial reconciliation, and accounting, as well as MIS reporting, is essential. Familiarity with working on nodal/escrow accounts would be a significant advantage. Strong communication skills are also vital for negotiating with external vendors and effectively communicating and enforcing budget requirements across all business units.
