Job Description

As a Field Instrumentation Lead focusing on Boiler systems at Adani Power Limited (APL), your role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing the operational excellence and reliability of all Control & Instrumentation systems associated with Boiler systems. Your responsibilities include: - Monitoring the availability and functionality of all C&I systems related to the Boiler area such as firing systems, Mill fan, ASLD, CAMS, and MOV. - Conducting routine maintenance of MOV, Boiler, and Auxiliaries to prevent equipment failures. - Executing timely overhauls of the Boiler systems to maintain operational integrity. - Troubleshooting and rectifying breakdowns of equipment to ensure continuous operation. - Coordinating with other departments to minimize maintenance delays and optimize equipment availability. - Executing calibrations as per schedule and preparing detailed reports on findings and adjustments. - Providing on-field support for Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Zero Forced Outage (ZFO) to enhance system reliability. - Implementing MoC (Management of Change) protocols to ensure safe and compliant modifications to equipment and processes. Moreover, you will be responsible for: - Performing periodic backups of Boiler PLC and auxiliary systems to secure operational data. - Providing resources and guidance to contractor technicians for routine maintenance tasks. - Maintaining the FGD (Flue Gas Discharge) systems to ensure environmental compliance. - Managing procurement processes for equipment and services, ensuring value for money and adherence to financial guidelines. - Managing documentation and as-built drawings for the section. In addition, you will contribute to: - Implementing and following IMS, AWMS, DISHA, CHETNA guidelines within the department. - Maintaining a culture of safety by providing proper training and ensuring adherence to safety protocols to prevent accidents. - Implementing field-related ZFO Action Items and AWMS initiatives. - Adhering to BPT processes, technical audits, and compliance requirements. - Reporting unsafe conditions, acts, and near misses in the work area to prevent incidents. - Following the guidelines of the work permit system to ensure safe working conditions. - Ensuring adherence to statutory compliances and regulations. Furthermore, you will focus on: - Executing comprehensive digitization strategies to optimize operational efficiency. - Implementing automation solutions to support overall organizational goals/strategy. - Implementing process and system improvements by adopting newer technologies and innovative ideas. Key Stakeholders - Internal: - Environment & Sustainability - Techno Commercial - Operations & Maintenance - Security - Stores - Support Functions - ENDORSE - ENOC Key Stakeholders - External: - Vendor Qualifications: - Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in C&I or Electronics & Communication or equivalent degree. - Work Experience: 4+ years of experience in C&I systems, preferably in power plant boiler operations. - Preferred Industry: Experience in power generation, or related process industries with a focus on control and instrumentation systems.,
