Responsibe for engineering, design, and modification activities reated to mechanica equipment, vesses and tanks and piping systems incuding equipment and piping specifications and procurement. May be invoved with the support of instaation and operation & maintenance of equipment. Discipine concerning air conditioning, refrigeration, ventiation, combustion, heat transfer, energy, power, fues, propusion, machinery, toos, manufacturing, fuids, pumbing, fire suppression systems and devices, water suppies and pumping systems for fire protection. Discipine covers the abiity to sove probems that deiver and optimize safe, sustainabe and ethica soutions for the design, production and operation of devices, machines, structures, processes and systems invoving mechanica eements. Duties and Responsibiities Senior technica resource may serve as technica advisor for team Provides speciaized technica input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise Deveops study and design procedures to faciitate high quaity cost effective work by others Participates in interdiscipinary review of project deiverabes Deveops construction cost estimates and estimates of technica efforts for projects Uses expertise in a steps of competing discipine component of PS&E package Performs quaity contro review of design cacuations or drawings Prepares technica specification sections Provides input to the deveopment of engineering budget and schedue to meet requirements Leads HVAC system design for compex commercia, residentia, and data center projects Conducts energy modeing and anaysis to optimize HVAC system performance Coaborates with architects and other engineering discipines to ensure integrated design soutions Deveops and impements sustainabe design strategies to meet energy efficiency goas Oversees the seection and sizing of HVAC equipment and components Ensures compiance with oca buiding codes, ASHRAE standards, and other reevant reguations Mentors junior engineers and provides technica guidance to the HVAC design team Participates in cient meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts and soutions Conducts site visits to assess existing conditions and verify instaation of HVAC systems Troubeshoots and resoves compex HVAC design issues during construction and commissioning phases Technica Exceence Identifies incrementa improvements to existing procedures or processes that increase efficiency or work quaity Performs a sef-check of work products prior to submitting them to others Leadership Works independenty and coaborativey with a esser eve of guidance needed for unfamiiar tasks Provides reguar updates to the manager on project/assignment status May assist more junior staff members with aspects of their job and may coordinate activities of a sma team Quaifications Minimum Bacheor's Degree in Mechanica Engineering (with minimum 10 years' experience) or Equivaent and speciaizing in HVAC Design. Shoud be we versed with ASHRAE/CIBSE/NFPA standards and reguations. Shoud have experience in commercia, residentia, datacenter, and infrastructure projects from different geographies - USA, Canada, ANZ Region. Experienced Senior Mechanica Engineer - Speciaized in HVAC Design. Shoud be capabe of eading the discussions with the Cient and ead projects for the HVAC Discipines. Shoud be abe to take Design decisions independenty. Professiona Engineering (PE) icense preferred. Proficiency in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or simiar BIM toos. Strong knowedge of energy modeing software (e.g., eQUEST, EnergyPus, or IES-VE). Demonstrated experience in sustainabe design practices and LEED certification processes. Exceent project management skis with the abiity to manage mutipe projects simutaneousy. Strong anaytica and probem-soving skis, particuary in resoving compex HVAC design chaenges. Effective communication skis, both written and verba, for cient interactions and team eadership. Experience with ifecyce cost anaysis and vaue engineering for HVAC systems. Famiiarity with emerging technoogies in HVAC, such as geotherma systems, VRF systems, and smart buiding contros. Additiona Information
