Job Description

Role Overview: As an Lead - Energy and Smart Building Application Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the deployment and onboarding of a cloud-based energy and building management platform for enterprise customers. This hybrid position requires a combination of technical solutioning, customer onboarding, and energy performance analysis. Your main goal will be to ensure successful platform implementation, analyze building performance data, and recommend energy-saving measures to help customers achieve their sustainability goals. The ideal candidate for this role will have domain knowledge in energy systems and hands-on experience with smart building platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Develop technical expertise and demonstrate/train product suite capabilities and use cases to customers and internal teams. - Work closely with technical and non-technical client representatives, as well as external partners, to maintain strong rapport. - Provide product/technical inputs to the project management team based on a clear understanding of the project's business requirements/scope of work. - Manage technical input to projects to ensure deliverables are appropriate and fit-for-purpose. - Conduct project implementation reviews, forecasting, and resource management to ensure excellence in project delivery. - Communicate bugs/issues to the relevant product/engineering teams and follow up on resolution timelines. - Address customer escalations or support tickets promptly, ensuring adherence to agreed SLAs and sharing ticket summaries with stakeholders periodically. - Proactively communicate potential roadblocks, interdependencies, or recurring patterns with relevant stakeholders to avoid delays or rework. - Lead cross-functional teams by articulating vision, defining responsibilities, delegating effectively, and providing constructive feedback. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering, or a related specialization in Energy Management or HVAC&R systems. - Strong data and information management skills, including the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data sets, extract actionable insights, and effectively report results. - Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel is preferable. - Prior experience with IoT-based EMS platforms/SaaS solutions or demonstrated expertise in smart building project implementation. - Good understanding of IoT data communication, networking, and information security protocols. - Professional credentials in Energy Management, Building Systems Commissioning, or Measurement & Verification (M&V) are preferable. - Working knowledge of building architectural/mechanical design tools such as BIM, CAD, Revit, etc. - Experience in energy benchmarking, GHG emissions tracking, and carbon footprint calculations/tools. - Hands-on experience in O&M or T&C of building energy, HVAC&R, and lighting systems is preferable. - Familiarity with building physics, heating and cooling load calculations, and HVAC&R logics and controls. - Demonstrated experience in designing and executing energy efficiency programs, utility bill analysis, demand-side management, and demand response strategies. - Working knowledge of global energy and M&V standards such as ASHRAE, CIBSE, IPMVP, etc.,
