Lead Database Administrator

As a Lead MySQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining existing MySQL environments, which includes managing large replication environments for data mining and mid-sized High Availability environments. You will also be involved in developing and optimizing database designs for new applications. Your role will require you to troubleshoot database issues, ensuring database systems availability and scalability. Additionally, you will be expected to suggest tools and processes for the identification and management of database infrastructure components. Your qualifications for this role should include: - Knowledge of the installation method of MySQL and significant general system administration skills on UNIX/HP, Linux, and AWS Linux. - Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Client/Server Connectivity, and Database Consistency Checks using different Utilities. - Experience with AWS RDS, AWS backup, Replication, and snapshot. - Experience working with AWS Console is a plus. - Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
