Your key responsibilities will include addressing escalated backup infrastructure investigations, mentoring and guiding more junior colleagues and contributing significantly to the systematic improvement of the environment. You will also be involved in developing and defining life cycle activities such as hardware and software refreshes to maintain the environment at target levels. You will also be involved in migration activities as necessary to support an exciting program of change, implementing new backup technologies and infrastructure components, developing content to support automation of backup workflows, and serving as an escalation point on and off shift to other members of the team. Maintaining diligence around ITSM process and providing detailed documentation of operational procedures are paramount in this role. Where new Data Protection technologies are introduced, you will be expected to actively participate and lead engineering activities related to the onboarding of these new technologies, including working closely with other technology teams within the organization.
