Lead Data Modeler

The role requires you to design and implement data modeling solutions using relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases. You will closely collaborate with data architects to create customized databases utilizing a blend of conceptual, physical, and logical data models. As a data modeler, your responsibilities include designing, implementing, and documenting data architecture and modeling solutions across various database types to support enterprise information management, business intelligence, machine learning, and data science initiatives. Your key responsibilities will involve implementing business and IT data requirements by devising new data strategies and designs for different data platforms and tools. You will engage with business and application teams to execute data strategies, establish data flows, and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Moreover, you will define and enforce data modeling standards, tools, and best practices, while also identifying architecture, infrastructure, data interfaces, security considerations, analytic models, and data visualization aspects. Additionally, you will undertake hands-on tasks such as modeling, design, configuration, installation, performance tuning, and sandbox proof of concept. It is crucial to work proactively and independently to fulfill project requirements, communicate challenges effectively, and mitigate project delivery risks. Qualifications required for this role include a BE/B.Tech degree or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in relational, dimensional, and/or analytic domains, involving RDBMS, dimensional, NoSQL platforms, and data ingestion protocols. Proficiency in data warehouse, data lake, and big data platforms within multi-data-center environments is essential. Familiarity with metadata management, data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, ER Studio), and team management skills are also necessary. Your primary skills should encompass developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models, implementing RDBMS, ODS, data marts, and data lakes, and ensuring optimal data query performance. You will be responsible for expanding existing data architecture and employing best practices. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is vital for this role. Preferred skills for this position include experience with data modeling tools and methodologies, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.,
