Lead - Communications

The Lead/ Senior Lead - Communications at ShikshaLokam will be responsible for creating compelling narratives to highlight the importance of education leadership, micro-improvements, and collective action for sustainable improvements in the education system. They will be part of the Strategic Communications team and will focus on amplifying ShikshaLokam's efforts through impactful stories, messages, and relationships. The key responsibilities include: - Collecting and compiling information to create stories, articles, reports, op-eds, press releases, and blogs for digital and print channels. - Identifying award opportunities, drafting applications, and managing relationships with institutions. - Executing evangelising events and workshops such as InvokED, Unbundle, Collab-a-thon, Cerebration. - Securing and managing speaking opportunities for organization leadership at external events. - Designing and implementing PR campaigns, developing press relationships, and serving as a spokesperson. - Continuously building communications assets like a photo, story, and video bank for team use. - Providing support to the team at events, podcasts, etc. The role offers a range of evangelising channels to experiment with, an entrepreneurial work environment to innovate, an empathetic and inclusive culture to grow in, and a hybrid work model. Requirements for this role include a bachelor's degree in English, marketing, communication, or journalism, along with 3+ years of work experience in PR, communication, journalism, advertising, or content creation. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, willing to learn and innovate, possess excellent communication skills, and have domain knowledge of education or non-profits.
