As a Manager of CRE teams at Searce, your primary responsibility is to ensure the delivery of excellent Cloud Managed Services to our customers. You will be tasked with planning, organizing, and overseeing staff and CRE operations to maintain the stability of customer infrastructure. Implementation of CRE principles including blameless PostMortem and automation, as well as defining and enforcing configuration management and change management policies, are crucial aspects of this role. In this position, you will handle escalations, provide tier-2 and 3 escalation support, and serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries from other departments. Building trusted relationships with application team members, proactively driving issue resolutions, and mapping effectively with critical application teams will be essential for success. Additionally, you will drive the remediation of cloud performance, security, and cost issues while facilitating regular client reviews and highlighting achievements and roadmaps. Your role will also involve designing, building, maintaining, and scaling monitoring services across multiple environments, both in cloud and on-prem deployments. Managing tools, systems, and procedures to ensure dynamic issue and customer management, guiding customer teams on AWS Compute, Storage, Network, Database, and Security, and providing FinOps suggestions to optimize cloud costs are key responsibilities. Furthermore, you will identify areas for process and efficiency improvement, recommend enhancements, oversee implementation, and drive continual process improvement through task automation, enterprise-wide monitoring initiatives, and routine administration tasks. Hiring, developing, and retaining responsive and customer-focused engineers to ensure departmental effectiveness and high resource utilization will also be part of your role. To qualify for this position, you should have a minimum of 7 years of experience managing operations in a 24/7 environment, with a preferred 4+ years" experience in building and managing high-performance 24/7 CRE teams. An excellent understanding of monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as expertise in at least one cloud platform, preferably AWS, are required. Possession of Project Management Certifications would be advantageous.
