Lead App Designer

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design vision, direction, and execution for our fintech mobile apps.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of design excellence and collaboration.
• Build and evolve a scalable design system and ensure brand consistency across all screens.
• Translate complex financial concepts into intuitive, user-friendly mobile interfaces.
• Conduct user research, usability studies, and analyze data to identify design opportunities.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Partner closely with product managers, developers, and marketing teams to align design with product strategy.
• Collaborate in agile sprints and contribute to shaping product roadmaps with design insights.
• Ensure technical feasibility and alignment with platform-specific guidelines (Material Design, HIG).
• Stay updated on the latest design trends, tools, and fintech industry advancements.
• Drive innovation by exploring and experimenting with new design approaches, motion, and micro-interactions.
• Provide creative leadership and strategic input to enhance customer experience and product engagement.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Design, HCI, Fine Arts, or a related field.

Experience:

• 5+years of experience in mobile app design with at least 1–2 years in a lead or senior capacity.
• Experience in fintech domains such as payments, lending, investments, or insurance.
• Familiarity with prototyping and motion design tools (e.g., Principle, After Effects, Lottie).
• Comfort working in fast-paced, agile environments or startups.

Skills:

• Proven track record of designing successful consumer-facing mobile apps, ideally in fintech or similar high-growth domains.
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent tools.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design thinking, mobile UI/UX expertise, and real-world app interfaces.
• Deep understanding of Android and iOS design standards.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
