LDR Nurse

§ Perform professional nursing care to the patients admitted in the LDR

§ Real time billing of all services provided to the patient

Real time booking consumption of all materials used

§ Collaborate with other functions/ teams in executing the given tasks

§ To support team members in meeting the organizations unified goal

§ Maintain skills and knowledge by participating in various nurse education programs, seminars, staff meeting, and workshops.

§ Updates own skills by attending certification and recertification courses e.g. medication, I/V, ECG, BLS, ALS Obstetrics & NRP

Successfully completes unit-based competencies and training modules

§ Provides competent care to antenatal and post-natal mothers and babies and pre and post operative and ventilated patients

§ Provides age and culturally appropriate care to patient

§ Demonstrates competency in carrying out specialized newborn and OBG skills

§ Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care to all patients.

§ Analyzes lab results

§ Identifies changes in the patient’s conditions and acts accordingly.

§ Ensures safe handling, management and administration of narcotics, high alert medication and look alike, sound alike drugs, etc.

§ Monitoring patient vitals such as blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate, temperature, and weight on a frequent basis to ensure they are within normal limits

§ Monitoring fetal heart rate and labour progress using CTG

§ Administers all medication safely via peripheral line and monitors patient responses to medication where indicated and reports related incidents promptly.

§ Perform all nursing routine unit specific procedures independently according to hospital set standard.

§ Assists in handling cardiac arrest situations.

§ Utilizes SBAR technique in hand take over, to communicate patient’s condition to the next shift and other health care personal where required.

§ Complies with Infection control policies for isolations precautions and infection prevention bundles: SSI, VAP, CLABSI, CAUTI, etc.

§ Contributes to the multidisciplinary team approach

§ Applies critical thinking and skills in provision of high-quality safe care to patients

§ Demonstrate priority setting skills and timelines in responding to patient’s needs.

§ Assist in diagnosing the disease by analysing patient’s symptoms and taking required actions for his/her recovery in consultation with doctor.

§ To provide individual nursing care for each patient according to their needs.

§ Monitoring the patient’s progress and communicating with other health care professionals regarding treatment plans and patient progress

§ Educate patients and families regarding breast feeding, new born care, maternal care, C-Section care, pre and post op care, etc.

§ Intervenes appropriately in clinical emergency situations.

§ Responsible for carrying out the requisite treatments and medications

§ Providing emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times, such as death or serious illness

Labour Room:

1. Monitors uterine contraction and reports any abnormal finding to Team Leader and physician.

2. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to manage patient in different stages of labour

3. Provides nursing care to patients with epidural anesthesia safely.

4. Provides safe and competent care to patients with obstetric emergencies.

5. Provides newborn nursing care according to approved unit protocol.

Labor Room OR:

1. Familiar with knowledge of OR procedures, routine tasks, perform special assignments e.g. narcotic control etc.

2. Ensure preparation of elective and emergency surgeries.

3. Perform circulatory and Scrub role during surgical procedures

4. Ensure environmental safety in compliance with OR guideline and infection control measures.

5. Takes over of preoperative over of patients as needed.

6. Adheres to surgical safety checklist

7. Ensures transfer out of patient as soon as they are sign out by anesthetist.

8. Complete OR competencies according to schedule.

9. Ensure safety of surgical procedures according to hospital set standards, policies and guidelines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.31 per month
