People

• Identify resource requirement by analyzing Patient: Nurse ratio and ensure appropriate allocation of resources with right level of relevant experience, for specific patients and procedures, on a daily basis
• Delegate the shift’s tasks to all of the nurses in the unit and coordinate with physicians who might need assistance
• Supervise nursing aides as they complete their assigned tasks and point out any changes or improvements that need to be made.
• Maintains nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training nurses and auxiliary staff on a periodic basis.
• Completes patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing staff, following up on work results.
• Maintains nursing staff job results by guiding, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising their work contribution.

Customer

• Establishes personal rapport with the patients and ensure patient requirements are met.
• Ensure highest level of patient care and satisfaction index. Identifies gaps if any and ensure immediate resolution.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.
• Ensure the department is 100% audit ready and follows the protocols of NABH
• Interacts with cross functional departments (pharmacy, stores, security, front office, PCS, bio medical etc.) on a timely basis to ensure quick resolution of issues on hand.
• Prioritize the patient requests and any issues raised by patient/patient relatives and provide

appropriate service while following hospital protocol and ensuring patient satisfaction

• Be part of the consultant rounds and be with them as much as possible to get a better idea about the support requirements
• Observes nursing care and visits patients to ensure that nursing care is carried out as directed,

and treatment administered in accordance with physician's instructions.

Operations

• Everyday scrutinize the checklist of the hospital protocols for all processes, services, cleanliness, hygiene and activities and ensure adherence to the set standards
• Daily cross-check all the required documentation and Patient Case sheets and ensures all details are appropriately captured both in physical files and on system
• Supervise all required arrangements for the scheduled surgeries/ procedures for the day (e.g. Patient party consent, billing, shifting of patient etc.) and ensures that the processes are smoothly carried out. Takes any necessary action in case of any bottlenecks
• Inform physicians of any changes in patients’ progress, condition or medicinal needs.
• Provides information to patients and health care team by answering questions and requests.
• Resolves patient needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by monitoring confidential information processing.
• Manage the nursing care for all patients in the unit during your shift.
• Participate in Unit meeting and update stakeholders on key milestones, concerned issues or any execution of any key initiative and share monthly reports.
