Layout Designer

As an experienced Analog/Custom Layout Designer, your primary role will involve designing and developing critical analog, mixed-signal, custom digital blocks, and providing full chip level integration support. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and developing critical analog, mixed-signal, and custom digital blocks. - Performing layout verification tasks such as LVS/DRC/Antenna checks, quality assurance, and documentation. - Ensuring on-time delivery of block-level layouts with acceptable quality standards. - Contributing to effective project management by collaborating with engineering teams in India, US, and Japan. - Communicating effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of layout projects. To qualify for this role, you should meet the following requirements: - 5-7 years of experience in analog/custom layout design in advanced CMOS processes. - Expertise in tools such as Cadence VLE/VXL and Calibre DRC/LVS is essential. - Hands-on experience in designing critical analog layouts for blocks like Temperature sensor, PLL, ADC, DAC, LDO, Bandgap, Ref Generators, Charge Pump, Current Mirrors, Comparator, Differential Amplifier, etc. - Strong understanding of Analog Layout fundamentals including Matching, Electro-migration, Latch-up, coupling, cross-talk, IR-drop, active and passive parasitic devices, etc. - Knowledge of layout effects on circuit performance metrics such as speed, capacitance, power, and area. - Ability to work within design constraints and deliver high-quality layouts. - Proficiency in physical layout verification and problem-solving skills. - Good understanding of basic active and passive devices such as Resistors, Inductors, Capacitors, and MOSFETs. - Experience with scripting and automation is a plus, though not mandatory. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
