Job Title:

2D Layout Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and update 2D layout drawings for transmission lines and substations.
Understand and interpret technical requirements, project specifications, and design briefs.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including electrical and civil, to deliver integrated designs.
Ensure all designs meet industry codes, client specifications, and safety regulations.
Maintain drawing records and manage revisions accurately.
Support project execution teams with technical clarifications and layout updates.
Coordinate with vendors and site engineers for layout approvals and modifications.

Key Skills Required:

Proficiency in
AutoCAD
and 2D drafting tools.
Mechanical background with proven experience in
Transmission or Power sector
projects –
mandatory
.
Strong knowledge of substation/transmission layout standards and design protocols.
Understanding of engineering documentation and version control.
Attention to detail and a structured, organized approach to work.
Effective communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
