Lathe Machine Operator

Role Overview: The Lathe Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining lathe machines to fabricate, modify, or repair parts and components made from various materials. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: - Machine Setup: Prepare and configure lathe machines, including selecting the appropriate tools, setting speeds, and calibrating machinery to meet production specifications. - Operation: Operate lathe machines to produce parts according to blueprints, sketches, or specific instructions. Monitor the machining process to ensure quality and accuracy. - Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards. Make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality. - Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on lathe machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance and longevity. - Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
