Job Description

To manage the acquisition of land and right-of-way for dam construction projects, ensuring compliance with legal, environmental, and regulatory requirements. The role also involves effective liaison with local communities, government authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Land Acquisition:
  • Identify, evaluate, and acquire land for dam sites, reservoirs, and associated infrastructure (access roads, diversion channels, etc.).
  • Coordinate and manage compensation, resettlement, and rehabilitation programs for displaced communities, if applicable.
  • Conduct land surveys, verify title deeds, and resolve land disputes to secure rights-of-way and other land-related requirements.
  • Negotiate land purchase agreements and lease terms with landowners and stakeholders.
  • Government Liaison & Approvals:
  • Work closely with local, state, and central government bodies to secure necessary land use approvals, environmental clearances, and project permissions.
  • Coordinate with agencies responsible for flood zoning, environmental impact assessments, and biodiversity concerns.
  • Liaise with agencies like the Ministry of Environment and Forests, local revenue departments, and dam safety authorities for clearances and compliance.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Prepare and maintain detailed records of land acquisition processes, agreements, and compensation disbursements.
  • Ensure that all documentation, including land title documents, compensation records, environmental clearances, and legal contracts, are up to date and compliant with national and state laws.
  • Provide regular progress reports to senior management and government authorities.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Rural Management,

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8–12 years of experience in land acquisition, project liaison, and stakeholder management, particularly in the context of large infrastructure or dam construction projects.
  • Previous experience working on dam construction projects or water resource management would be highly advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
