Laboratory Technician

Job Description:
As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the lab. This includes preparing sterile cultures, maintaining clean working conditions, overseeing inoculations, and ensuring the health and consistency of our mushroom strains. You will play a key role in the success of our production cycle by maintaining a contamination-free environment and supporting innovation in our growing techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all lab-related activities in the mushroom cultivation process
• Prepare and sterilize substrates, culture media, and lab tools
• Inoculate spawn and maintain fungal cultures in sterile conditions
• Monitor and document lab processes, growth stages, and yields
• Identify and prevent contamination issues
• Maintain cleanliness and sterilization protocols across the lab
• Assist in improving lab processes and optimizing production
• Collaborate with farm staff and provide input on system improvements
• Maintain lab inventory and reorder supplies when needed

Qualifications:

• Previous lab experience (preferred but not required — we will train the right person)
• Knowledge or interest in mushroom cultivation, mycology, or microbiology
• Comfortable working in sterile environments and following strict protocols
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred (but not required):

• Degree or coursework in biology, microbiology, agriculture, or related field
• Experience with sterile technique, autoclaves, laminar flow hoods, or mushroom farming

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
