Job Description – R&D / Lab Executive (Paint Industry)

Salary: 40,000-60,000
Location: — Site -B, Greater Noida
Experience: 4–6 Years

Job Summary:

The R&D/Lab Executive in the paint industry is responsible for developing new paint formulations, improving existing products, conducting laboratory testing, ensuring quality standards, and supporting production with technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities:1. Product Development & Formulation

• Develop new paint, coatings, primers, and related products as per market requirements.
• Modify and improve existing formulations for better performance, durability, and cost optimization.
• Conduct research on raw materials, additives, pigments, resins, and solvents.

2. Laboratory Testing & Analysis

• Perform quality testing on viscosity, density, drying time, gloss, adhesion, hardness, and chemical resistance.
• Evaluate product performance under various conditions (weather, corrosion, humidity, etc.).
• Prepare test samples, maintain lab records, and generate test reports.

3. Quality Control Support

• Ensure all raw materials and finished goods meet quality standards.
• Provide technical support to the production team for process improvements.
• Investigate and resolve quality issues or customer complaints.

4. Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and maintain formulation sheets, test reports, MSDS, and technical data sheets.
• Ensure products comply with industry standards (ISO, BIS, environmental norms).
• Maintain inventory of lab chemicals, tools, and equipment.

5. Market & Technical Research

• Study competitor products, new technologies, and innovative materials.
• Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate new raw materials and technologies.
• Assist in cost reduction and process improvement projects.

Skills & Qualifications:

• B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Industrial Chemistry, or related field.
• Experience in paint/coating formulations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pigments, binders, solvents, additives, and coating systems.
• Familiarity with lab equipment (viscometer, spectrophotometer, gloss meter, etc.).
• Good analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, documentation, report writing).

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
