As a Lab Assistant in the Quality control team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications by conducting tests on construction materials. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting routine laboratory and on-site tests for construction materials such as concrete, soil, and aggregates. - Assisting in sample collection, preparation, and testing following standard procedures. - Performing on-site tests including slump tests, soil compaction tests, and casting concrete cubes/cylinders. - Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring timely calibration. - Recording accurate observations and results in testing logs and sheets. - Preparing detailed test reports and collaborating with the QC team. - Adhering to IS codes and project-specific testing standards. - Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment. - Supporting QC engineers in material quality verification activities. Qualifications and Skills required for this role: - B.Sc. degree in Chemistry, Physics, or Geology is preferred. - Basic knowledge of construction materials and testing procedures. - Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical instructions. - Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting skills. - Good communication and teamwork abilities. - Willingness to work in both lab and on-site settings.
