Job Overview

L3 Java AWS Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as

    L3 support

    for Java-based, AWS-hosted applicationshandling critical, complex issues.
  • Lead incident resolution, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
  • Work closely with development teams to analyze code-level issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Review logs, analyze system failures, and provide technical guidance to L1/L2 teams.
  • Optimize AWS resources, monitor CloudWatch alerts, and ensure high application availability.
  • Write and maintain

    shell scripts

    for automation, monitoring, and deployments.
  • Perform advanced SQL queries, database validations, and troubleshoot DB-related issues.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and ensure timely resolution aligned with SLAs.
  • Suggest improvements for system performance, stability, and scalability.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in

    Java

    & debugging of distributed applications.
  • Deep knowledge of

    AWS services

    such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, ECS, etc.
  • Proficiency in

    SQL

    – query optimization, joins, performance tuning.
  • Strong command over

    Unix/Linux

    systems & troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with

    Shell Scripting

    for automation.
  • Ability to analyze code, logs, APIs, and backend systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and incident-handling skills.
