Kodo - Software Development Engineer - Test

Key Responsibilities

• Automation Framework Development : Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Test Automation : Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and your chosen programming language (Kotlin or Java).
• Unit & Integration Testing Guidance : Provide guidance and support to development teams on best practices for unit and integration testing.
• Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) : Apply a strong understanding of BDD principles to collaborate with teams and define testable scenarios.
• Service Virtualization : Implement and utilize service virtualization techniques to create stable and independent test environments.
• Build & Deployment Automation : Contribute to and optimize our build and deployment automation pipelines.
• Manual Test Identification : Strategically identify and define test cases that require manual execution due to complexity or specific characteristics.
• Edge Case Discovery : Apply analytical and logical thinking to proactively discover and test critical edge cases.
• Test Specification Organization : Organize and prioritize test specifications based on impact, component, likelihood, and other relevant factors.
• Acceptance Criteria Collaboration : Collaborate closely with Product Managers to define clear and testable Acceptance Criteria that can form part of our living You Must Have :
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in test automation.
• Proficiency with Selenium for web application automation.
• Strong programming skills in either Kotlin or Java.
• Good understanding of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.
• 1+ years of experience in service virtualization.
• Proven ability to build and maintain automation frameworks.
• Experience with build and deployment automation processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying edge cases.
• Ability to organize and prioritize test specifications effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with Product
  

Managers And To Have

• Familiarity with the Serenity BDD framework.
• Experience working in a fast-growing product startup
