About Kiya.ai

• Design, develop, and implement KDB+ services and applications using the Q programming language.
• Work extensively with KDB ticker plant architecture, including RDB, HDB, and WDB concepts.
• Manage and optimize large datasets within a multi-tier architecture, ensuring high performance and data integrity.
• Develop solutions for processing and analyzing tick market data.
• Collaborate with traders and quants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Integrate KDB+ with other programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ using interoperability tools (e.g., PyKX).
• Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.
• Ensure the robustness, reliability, and scalability of KDB+ systems.
• Apply strong mathematical skills and critical thinking to solve complex technical and business problems.
• Utilize good business knowledge of FX, traders, and market dynamics to build relevant and effective solutions.
  

Required Skills And Qualifications

• 6-10 years of hands-on experience in writing Q language and building KDB+ services.
• Must be conversant with KDB ticker plant architecture and its components.
• Good understanding of RDB, HDB, and WDB concepts, with demonstrated experience working in multi-tier architectures and handling huge datasets.
• Extensive experience in dealing with tick market data.
• Exposure to Global Markets products, including FX Spot/Forwards, IRDs, and Fixed Income Securities.
• Proficiency in KDB+, with strong knowledge and work experience in the platform.
• Programming knowledge in at least one of the following : Python, Java, or C++, and experience with KDB interoperability (e.g., PyKX).
• Proven experience working directly with Traders and Quants.
• Strong mathematical skills and excellent critical thinking abilities.
• Good understanding of business knowledge related to FX, traders, and market operations.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Surveillance models (e.g., Market Abuse, Trader mandates).
