Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Kafka Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka. Core responsibilities include configuring and managing Kafka clusters, developing pipeline architectures, troubleshooting performance issues, optimizing system performance, and integrating Kafka components with other technologies. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Kafka Engineer will ensure robust and scalable real-time data streaming across applications, meeting organizational needs.

Qualifications

• Experience with Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, and Kafka Connect.
• Proficiency in distributed systems, real-time data processing, and stream processing concepts.
• Strong skills in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.
• Ability to design, implement, and optimize Kafka topics, partitions, and configurations.
• Experience with monitoring and maintaining Kafka clusters for performance optimization.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.
• Understanding of messaging systems, microservices architectures, and REST/SOAP APIs is beneficial.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
