Kafka Administrator

We are searching for a talented Kafka Administrator to become a part of our team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in setting up, configuring, and managing Kafka clusters to ensure the high availability and optimal performance of our data streaming platform. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with development and operations teams to devise and execute Kafka solutions that align with our business requirements. Your key responsibilities will include installing, configuring, and maintaining Kafka clusters in both production and development environments. You will be tasked with monitoring Kafka performance and resolving issues associated with brokers, producers, and consumers. Additionally, implementing best practices for data ingestion, retention, and processing within the Kafka ecosystem will be a part of your role. You will also be expected to develop and upkeep documentation pertaining to configuration, processes, and procedures, optimize Kafka cluster performance, and engage with application teams to comprehend data flow requirements and extend support for Kafka integration. To be successful in this role, you should possess at least 5 years of experience as a Kafka Administrator or in a similar capacity. A solid grasp of Kafka architecture, streaming concepts, and relevant technologies is essential. Experience with Kafka management tools like Confluent Control Center, Kafka Manager, or equivalent is desirable. Familiarity with cloud technologies and containerization, such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, is considered advantageous. Strong analytical and problems-solving abilities, coupled with excellent communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team environment, are highly valued qualities.
