Junior Solar Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the

  design and drafting

  of electrical layouts for solar PV plants (DC and AC systems).
• Support

  load calculations, cable sizing, earthing design, and protection system design

  in line with IEC/IS standards.
• Help prepare

  Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)

  and detailed engineering documents.
• Coordinate with procurement teams for

  technical evaluation of electrical components

  such as inverters, transformers, cables, and switchgear.
• Assist in

  site surveys

  and collection of data for project feasibility and design optimization.
• Support

  installation, testing, and commissioning

  activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support project reporting.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education:

  B.E./B.Tech / Diploma  in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
• 0–2 years of experience in electrical engineering; exposure to solar PV projects is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of

  solar PV technology, electrical systems, and power distribution

  .
• Familiarity with

  AutoCAD, MS Office, and basic electrical design tools

  .

  (PVSYST, GOOGLE SKETCHUP , GOOGLE EARTH, QGIS)

• Understanding of

  IEC, IS, and relevant electrical standards

  .
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a

  team-oriented environment

  .
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
