Junior Site Engineer/Site Engineer

The incumbent will act as the client's representative on-site, ensuring successful delivery of Industrial, infrastructure and construction projects. He will monitor contractor activities, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure that work is completed according to design, budget, schedule, and quality standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Represent the client's interests during all phases of civil construction projects.

2. Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

3. Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with design, codes, and quality standards.

4. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and local authorities to resolve issues.

5. Track project progress and provide regular reports to the client and internal management.

6. Assess and validate contractor work progress and recommend payment approvals.

7. Participate in site meetings and report on technical and schedule matters.

8. Ensure safety, health, and environmental standards are maintained on-site.

9. Identify project risks and propose mitigations to avoid cost or time overruns.

10. Assist with change orders, claims analysis, and dispute resolution.

11. Maintain thorough project documentation and support handover and commissioning processes.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

1. Educational Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering.

2. Possess 5-8 years of experience in site execution, site monitoring, quality checks, and have a strong understanding of testing procedures.

3. Proficient in Project Planning Tools such as Microsoft Project (MSP) with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on project planning experience.

4. Oversee and monitor site execution activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.

5. Conduct regular quality inspections and ensure all site works comply with technical specifications and approved drawings.

6. Demonstrate hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP Business One, for project tracking, procurement, and reporting.

7. Apply project management skills including project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, time management, and risk management.

8. Exhibit strong strategic planning, risk management, and change management capabilities to drive project success.

9. Possess excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills to manage teams and resolve on-site issues efficiently.

10. Experienced in conflict resolution and maintaining coordination among multidisciplinary teams.

11. Have relevant experience in civil foundation works, particularly associated with Security Integration and Gate Management System projects.
