NPD Engineering (Civil)(SEL-Hadapsar, Pune)

Role & responsibilities

Structural Design and Analysis:

Responsible for performing structural analysis and designing foundations for wind turbine generators (WTG) and auxiliary structures, ensuring stability, safety, and compliance with technical standards.

Project Management:

i) Complete support life cycle for new product development, direct prototype construction projects from conception to completion including defects liability periods,

ii) Monitor progress and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and schedules, quality construction standards;

iii) Identify opportunities to improve project delivery by considering safety, buildability, quality, reduction in defects and provide best value compliant solutions.

Technical Documentation:

i) Create and maintain technical documentation (design basis reports, certification documentation) with a specific focus on civil design & drawings,

ii) Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy of documentation;

iii) Disseminate technical information in easy-to-understand language for a non-technical audience.

iv) Continuously review and update documentation to reflect changes in product and maintain proper version control.

Certification and Compliance:

i) Work closely with certification bodies to secure approvals for foundation designs and drawings, ensuring all structural designs meet national and international codes and regulatory requirements.

ii) Identify the regulatory compliance requirements during project conceptual phase. Generates means of compliance, project certification basis, safety assessments, and relevant regulatory materials.

iii) Stay Up to date on the standards, directives, and regulations applicable to product to keep Inform/educate stake holders of any forecasted evolutions/changes to the standards, directives and regulations and lead associated projects.

Root Cause Analysis and Retrofitting & Support to CFT:

i) Lead investigations into structural failures, conduct high-level root-cause analysis for service interruption and establish preventive measures.

ii) Develop effective retrofitting and repair solutions to enhance the longevity and reliability of existing structures.

iii) Create reports and documentation for findings and solutions.

Cost Optimization and Innovation:

Implement innovative design solutions and optimize construction techniques to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and maintain structural integrity.

Identify, validate, and implement Value Engineering projects to reduce cost within design elements.

Hands-on build-up of concept prototypes for design review and functional proof-of-concept verification and testing.

Knowledge of industry supply chain best practices and innovations, and basic manufacturing process.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, project management, and external vendors, to ensure alignment, coordination, and successful execution of all phases of the project
