Junior Quality Assurance Engineer

The Junior Quality Assurance Engineer will support a global technology company during a peak business period by conducting software quality assurance activities across on-premise and cloud platforms. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure effective testing coverage, defect tracking, and release support. This is a 12-month contract role with potential extensions, requiring 40 hours per week onsite at the client's office in Pune, India. Responsibilities include testing on cloud and on-prem environments (AWS, Azure, and GCP), creating, executing, and maintaining test cases focusing on functionality, reliability, and performance. The role also involves coordinating with engineering and QA teams to ensure adequate test coverage and defect resolution. Requirements for the position include 2+ years of software QA experience, proficiency in Python, familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems, practical experience in testing software on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), knowledge of SQA methodologies and defect lifecycle, strong communication and documentation skills, and preference for prior experience with NetBackup. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is beneficial.
