Junior Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to provide support to a global technology company during a peak business phase. As a part of this role, you will be tasked with overseeing software quality assurance operations on both on-premise and cloud platforms. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with various teams to ensure comprehensive testing coverage, monitoring defect tracking, and offering release support. This position is a 12-month contract role with the possibility of extensions. The role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, on-site presence for 5 days a week at the client's office in Pune, India (Panchshil Business Park, Balewadi). Responsibilities: - Conduct testing on cloud and on-premises environments, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. - Develop, implement, and manage test cases focusing on functionality, reliability, and performance. - Work closely with engineering and QA teams to guarantee adequate test coverage and resolve defects efficiently. Requirements: - Minimum of 2 years of relevant software QA experience with a strong emphasis on testing abilities. - Proficiency in Python. - Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems. - Hands-on experience in software testing on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP. - Sound knowledge of SQA methodologies and defect lifecycle. - Excellent communication and documentation skills. - Previous experience with NetBackup is advantageous. - A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is considered a plus.
