Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Operate the MEE system to achieve the desired output efficiently.
  • Coordinate with the RO plant team to receive RO reject effluent.
  • Identify abnormalities in MEE plant equipment and inform the maintenance department for timely repairs.
  • Ensure efficient pre-treatment of incoming effluent.
  • Operate the ATFD system effectively to obtain dried salt.
  • Prepare required chemicals on time for treatment of high-COD effluent.
  • Feed effluent into the Stripper and MEE plant as per process requirements.
  • Monitor stock levels of MEE dosing chemicals and inform the superior for replenishment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in MEE, ETP, and ATFD areas.
  • Receive hazardous, non-hazardous, and garbage waste from various departments as per guidelines.
  • Shift dried salt from the ATFD system to the hazardous waste yard on time.
  • Supervise the effective primary, secondary, and tertiary treatment processes of the ETP plant.
  • Ensure efficient operation of the incinerator plant.
  • Maintain all records as per EHS SOPs and statutory requirements.
  • Report unsafe conditions, abnormalities, or deviations to the superior.
  • Any other work as assigned by HOD from time to time.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support internal and external audits by providing relevant operational and compliance records.
  • Assist in maintaining documentation related to effluent treatment, waste handling, and incinerator operations.
  • Participate in EHS training programs to enhance skills and operational knowledge.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, production, and EHS teams to ensure smooth process flow.
  • Assist in continuous improvement activities related to effluent treatment and waste handling.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education:

  • ITI / Diploma / B.Sc. – Chemistry or Environment Science (Required)

Experience

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in MEE / ETP / ATFD / Incinerator operations, preferably in Chemical or Pharmaceutical manufacturing.
