Job Description

Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Linux Administrator to assist in the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of Linux systems. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with basic Linux knowledge to grow in a technical environment.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and manage Linux-based systems and services.Perform basic system administration tasks like user creation, file system management, and software installation.Assist in patch management and system upgrades.Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.Maintain documentation related to system configurations and procedures.Provide first-level support for Linux servers and escalate complex issues.Work closely with senior system admins and support teams.Required Skills:Basic understanding of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, etc.)Familiarity with command-line operations and scripting (Bash preferred)Understanding of file system structure, permissions, and package managementKnowledge of networking concepts (IP, DNS, SSH, FTP, etc.)Exposure to monitoring tools and log analysisGood problem-solving and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related fieldFamiliarity with virtualization (VMware, KVM) or cloud platforms (AWS/Linux EC2)Exposure to cron jobs and shell scripting.
