Junior IT Analyst- Visakhapatnam Port Authority

Position / Title: Junior IT Analyst

Nos. required: 02 (Two)

Location: Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA)

Mode of Employment: Contractual-Full Time

Duration of Employment: 01 year (extendable on mutual consent)

Key Responsibilities -

• Analyse IT systems and processes to identify improvements and
• efficiencies.
• Assist in gathering and analysing data for IT projects.
• Help prepare reports on IT operations and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with other IT staff to implement changes or upgrades.
• Document system configurations and processes.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Relevant Coursework (Anyone):

  Courses in data analysis, systems analysis, database management, and business processes are required.

Skills & Experience:

1. Technical Skills:

• Data Analysis:

  Basic skills in analysing data using tools like Excel, SQL, or Python.

• Database Management:

  Basic understanding of databases, including how to query and manage data.

• Troubleshooting:

  Basic problem-solving skills to identify issues in IT systems and propose solutions.

• Documentation:

  Ability to document processes, workflows, and requirements clearly and concisely.

2. Soft Skills:

• Analytical Thinking:

  Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and draw meaningful insights.

• Communication:

  Good written and verbal communication skills for interacting with both technical teams and business stakeholders

Experience:

• Mid-Level:

  5+ years of experience in IT, data analysis, or a related field. This experience can be gained through internships, part-time jobs, or academic projects.

Preferred Experience:

• Business Process Understanding:

  Some exposure to or understanding of how business processes are managed and improved through IT solutions.

• Team Collaboration:

  Experience working in teams, either through academic projects or previous jobs, demonstrating the ability to collaborate and contribute to team goals.
