Junior Engineer-Application

Job Title:

Job Responsibilities:

• Pre-Sales / Commissioning Activities

• Participate in Automation and Motion related application study.
  
• Understand customer requirements, machine SOPs, motion sequences, and scope of work.
  
• Assist in system architecture design and preparation of Bill of Materials.
  
• Support development, execution, and documentation of POCs.
  
• Assist in conducting product demos, trials, and technical presentations at customer locations.
  

• Project Execution & Control

• Carry out application study and support preparation of automation concepts.
  
• Knowledge of Panel Engineering such as panel components, wiring, etc.
  
• Develop and modify application programs for PLC, Motion, Servo Drives, VFDs, and HMI as per SOP / SLA.
  
• Configure and test industrial networks such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, Profinet, Profibus, and DeviceNet.
  
• Implement motion functions such as axis control, synchronization, and basic motion profiles.
  
• Develop sequential logic and configure intra-hardware communication (PLCHMI, PLCDrive, PLCRobot).
  
• Support installation, commissioning, and site acceptance activities within stipulated timelines.
  

• Technical Support & Reporting

• Provide first-level technical support to OEMs, end users, and channel partners through on-site visits and remote support.
  
• Assist in troubleshooting automation, motion, and basic mechanical/electrical issues during commissioning and operation.
  
• Prepare and submit basic reports, technical notes, quick start guides, success stories, and PoC documentation.

Job Requirements:

Work Experience

• Minimum of 01 to 3 years of experience in automation projects, application programming, installation, and commissioning.
  

Educational Qualification:

B.E in Electrical/ Electronics and Communication Engineering or Equivalent Diploma

Functional Competencies/Skills:

• Hands-on experience in PLC programming and basic motion control concepts.
• Exposure to Servo drives, VFDs, and HMI development.
• Understanding of packaging or SPM machine applications.
• Working knowledge of industrial communication networks (Ethernet, EtherCAT, Modbus, Profinet, Profibus, DeviceNet).
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs, electrical schematics, and basic machine drawings.
• Knowledge of Industrial Networking and communications, including DeviceNet, RS232, RS485, Modbus, ProfiBus, ProfiNet, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, etc.
