Junior Civil Engineer

job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Civil Engineer to join our team in a landscaping and construction company. The ideal candidate will assist in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and landscaping projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and execution of landscaping and civil construction projects.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, layouts, and specifications.
• Support site engineers and project managers in daily operations and project tracking.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and subcontractors.
• Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
• Assist in preparing project documentation such as reports, schedules, and progress updates.
• Help coordinate procurement of materials and liaise with suppliers.
• Ensure environmental, health, and safety guidelines are followed on site.
• Perform other duties as required by the engineering or project team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships or academic projects in landscaping or construction are a plus).
• Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Basic knowledge of landscape design and grading principles is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Office; knowledge of project management software is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work on-site as needed.

Preferred Skills:

• Interest or experience in sustainable landscaping practices.
• Understanding of irrigation systems, soil stabilization, or retaining wall structures.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

• Office and site-based role.
• May require occasional overtime or weekend work based on project timelines.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions on-site.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
