Junior Civil Engineer

Role Overview: As a Junior Engineer/Intern in the Engineering/Projects department, you will be reporting to the Senior Engineer. Your primary responsibilities will include project planning and milestone reporting, material and quantity management, daily progress tracking, site documentation, photo updates, and workforce monitoring and training. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed project milestone reports for newly assigned projects, including schedules for procurement planning and labour allocation. Obtain approvals from the Senior Engineer and Project Manager before finalizing and circulating the milestone report. - Create the Order of Items Report covering the complete Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for each assigned project. Share the list with the Senior Engineer and Project Manager for review before following up with the procurement team. - Execute daily tasks as per the approved milestone sheet and update daily progress reports. Revise milestone sheets if tasks are incomplete and inform the Senior Engineer of any changes. - Upload two daily photos to the project repository (before start and after completion of work) and ensure all work is reviewed by Senior Engineers. - Conduct workmen training sessions on assigned tasks and monitor workforce activities to ensure tasks are executed as per instructions and quality expectations. Qualification Required: - Previous experience in project planning and management is preferred. - Knowledge of procurement processes and quantity surveying. - Strong communication and organizational skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Familiarity with Google Sheets or onsite applications for progress tracking.
