Junior Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

1. Funnel & Conversion Analytics

1. Assist in analysing the loan funnel from application to first repayment.
2. Identify basic leakage patterns across stages (lead KYC underwriting disbursal 1st EMI).
3. Work with Product and Growth teams to support A/B experiments and user journey improvements.

2. Credit Risk & Portfolio Analytics

1. Support deep dives into risk metrics (approval %, DPD0, bounce %, resolution %, NPA, roll rates).
2. Help maintain dashboards for portfolio health and early warning indicators.
3. Assist in segmentation analysis based on bureau scores, customer profiles, and behaviour.

3. Profitability & Unit Economics

1. Support tracking of product-level and cohort-level profitability (NIM, CAC, LGD, ROE).
2. Contribute to scenario analysis and basic forecasting support for portfolio growth and losses.

4. Product & Strategy Insights

1. Collaborate with Product Managers to monitor feature usage, adoption, and retention.
2. Translate simple analytical insights into actionable recommendations for product improvements.
3. Prepare reports and presentations for internal reviews.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

1. Work closely with Risk, Product, Growth, Collections, and Finance teams to gather data requirements.
2. Present findings in a clear, structured manner to stakeholders.

Skills & Experience Required

1. 0-2 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Data Analyst / Risk Analyst (FinTech or NBFC preferred, but not mandatory).
2. Strong proficiency in

   SQL

   and

   Excel

   .
3. Basic knowledge of

   data visualization tools

   (Tableau / Power BI).
4. Understanding of business metrics, funnels, and basic credit lifecycle concepts.
5. Exposure to A/B testing, segmentation, or cohort analysis is a plus.
6. Knowledge of

   Python or R

   is an added advantage.
7. Strong communication, problem-solving, and curiosity for data-led insights.

Good to Have

1. Internship or project experience in FinTech, analytics, or lending.
2. Familiarity with risk scoring, behavioural analytics, or financial models.
3. Ability to work with large datasets and deliver crisp dashboards.
