Job Description

Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Summary

The Junior Accountant supports the finance team by assisting with daily accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in accounting and looking to build practical experience.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records and reports
Record day-to-day financial transactions (journals, invoices, receipts)
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
Help prepare basic financial statements and reports
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Maintain organized accounting files and documentation
Support audits by providing required financial information

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or in progress)
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn and take direction
