Jr. QA Engineer

As a Junior QA Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our custom web development projects. Your 13 years of hands-on experience in the IT service industry will be instrumental in executing the following key responsibilities: - Perform manual testing of web applications, mobile applications, and open-source technologies. - Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. - Prepare and execute test plans, test cases, and test reports. - Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Asana, Basecamp, or similar. - Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and designers to ensure smooth project delivery. - Conduct regression, functional, UI/UX, and cross-browser testing. - Verify bug fixes and perform re-testing to ensure quality standards are met. - Participate in client demos or internal reviews as needed. To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. - 13 years of QA/testing experience in a service-based IT company. - Strong knowledge of manual testing processes and QA methodologies. - Familiarity with PHP, Python-based applications, and WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce CMS. - Experience testing responsive designs, APIs, and custom web solutions. - Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a plus. - Good analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Additionally, having the following skills would be beneficial: - Basic knowledge of automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman). - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Exposure to eCommerce, plugin, or theme testing in WordPress.
