Jr. Accountant

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities. This role is ideal for candidates looking to grow their career in accounting and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment. --- Key Responsibilities Record daily financial transactions in accounting systems. Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and reconciliations. Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers. Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Support senior accountants with audits and tax filings. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles. Perform administrative tasks related to finance and accounting as needed. --- Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 0–1 years of accounting or finance experience (internship experience is acceptable). Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and problem-solving skills. --- Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Knowledge of tally prime. Experience with financial reporting tools. Basic understanding of tax regulations.
